well if a person goes to a fast food restaurant then they are basically wasting money and the businesses are gaining money and a decision would be if you want to be healthy or not or what kind and how much food you order

it is an example of an industry that did not exist before it was started (by Ray Kroc of MacDonald's). He realized that if you settle on a limited menu and then set up the restaurant like a factory you can whip out meals that people will stand in line to buy as fast as you can do them. It was an eye opening revision of the economics of the restaurant industry.

In my case, it is cheaper to eat out at fast food places than to buy food and cook, not just the cost of food , but also taking in account the cost of electricity and water!

It has a lot to do with it if your are in this line of business. You give the customer what thye want, so you'll have to closed your doors.
