I would fly because I love the feeling. I love how I can see how big the world really is and see how small people really are. I love the airplane food that they give you and when they say "Fish or Chicken?" I also love how you can draw or write in an airplane but not a car. I love airplanes.

Depends. It depends on how far I am going, who's driving, am I driving alone or with friends, whether I'm going to a familiar place, how much time I have, how much money I have, etc.
Road trips are fun with friends and ideal for trips that take 24hrs or less. When you drive there is more flexibility (you leave when you want to leave and you return when you want to return), but if there are time restrictions you have to use trip time for driving time. I find plane rides relaxing. If I have the money, I'd rather fly, and have more time at my destination.

I would definitely rather fly. I have taken 68 flights since January, and am leaving for New York again this Tuesday. But then again I work for an airline so I guess I am biased :-). I'm not a flight attendant, all of my flights were for pleasure. I guess it really depends on where you are going. Its almost not worth it for a short flight anymore, like Atlanta to Savannah or Myrtle Beach. By the time you arrive 2-2.5 hours prior to departure, board, taxi to runway, take-off, land, taxi to gate, deplane, wait for your bags, and then get transportation from the airport you might as well have driven and saved yourself the trouble.

To go how far? There was a time I'd rather fly but these days, flying has gotten to be a HUGE pain in the butt. But, if it were more than a six hour drive, I'd probably still fly but not enjoy it!

Depends on how far and how long your away. If you only have a week then fly any longer consider driving but not any more than a day each way.

Even though I prefer to fly (for long distances), right now I am staging my own personal boycott of the airlines until they start allowing us to take benign items such as bottled water and contact lens solution on airplanes. Terrorism, my ***! Give me a break. They don't even feed or adequately water you on the planes anymore, and for bigger bucks than ever, and you can't even take lip gloss or a can of soda onboard for fear of "terroism" in the skies. Give me a break! So for now I'm driving.
