yes. i am British and i am quite shocked by the racist nature of some questions and answers from some on the right in the US, with questions and answers referrring to "ragheads", "sand monkeys" etc.
as well as being slightly offended by that stuff i am amazed to see how big the rift is between "liberals" and "conservatives", neither of which is SUCH a dirty word in London.
on the other hand, i guess questions and answers can be flagged and i hope that the racist stuff is/can be removed.
what is more disappointing is probably that very few people are thinking about anything they read in the fields of religion/politics/philosophy and just using it all as a pretext to rant. this is not so bad with answers (i think) but pointless in questions.

There ARE restrictions -- check the terms of service. However, the Yahoo! Answers staff cannot check every message as it is submitted, so it is up to users to flag questions and answers that are inappropriate. If enough users flag a given message, the staff will check and sometimes delete it.

There are, the people using this site restrict objectionable material, if you find something inappropriate you just report it and it will be removed from the site

well, i've seen some pretty stupid questions, some pretty stupid answers, but that's the way people are, you can't just restrict the part that you don't like, because whether you like it or not they are here.and they see you as you see them.just ignore what you dislike and go on with what interests you.
