I was a screw off when I was in my early twenties and bombed all my classes. I never dropped the classes, resulting average F. Is there anyway of making a clean slate when I return?? I am fully capable of passing; again I use to be a screw off. If anyone has any suggestions let me know. Thank you.

Most universities make concessions for learners who have been out of university for 10+ years and can now prove that they will be devoted to their studies. Within that ten year span, most places won't offer much leniency.

You would have to re-apply as a mature student. It helps to show relevant work experience and examples of studies you have done since then, like distance education courses or night school classes. It will be a battle and you'll have to be really prepared to sell yourself to admissions advisors, but it can be done!

I would definitely start over at a new school. If they let you in, the new school will not care at all what you did before. If they don't want to let yuou in, go for an interview with the admissions guys and explain how everything is different now. They will probably let you in on probation -- after you have taken a couple of courses to prove that you are serious, things will be fine.

You can start at a community college. They are inexpensive and usually will take anyone with a high school diploma. THat's their mission, to give people a chance to succeed. After you do some courses there you can transfer to the State U or another school, if you have done a respectable job.

Easy, go to another community college. By law, at least in califonria, when you transfer you can keep from giving the other schools grade, and thus you'll have a clean slate.

depends on the college, some let you retake the same classes and drop the low ones, some don't
