Smithers thinks that a special juice will increase the productivity of workers. He creates two groups of 50 workers each and assigns each group the same task (in this case, they're supposed to staple a set of papers). Group A is given the special juice to drink while they work. Group B is not given the special juice. After an hour, Smithers counts how many stacks of papers each group has made. Group A made 1,587 stacks, Group B made 2,113 stacks.

now i know the independent variable is the special juice but i'm confused as to what the dependent variable is,so if you could please help me.

The dependent varible is the number that the group stacked in the end. The independent varible is the juice. So the dependent varible is reliable on the independent varible. So the dependent varible is 1,587. Now you know how to do this in the future.

how many stacks of papers they make DEPENDS on the amount of the special drink they're given, so special drink is the dependent variable and stacks of papers is the independent variable.
