Sculptor Frederic Bartholdi had designed a giant statue for the Mediterranean end of the Suez Canal before he began work on the Statue of Liberty. The Suez statue was never built. Bartholdi denied that the Statue of Liberty was a re-working of the Suez design, although they were quite similar. As Marvin Trachtenberg says in the book referenced below, they were both "colossal, robed, torch-bearing females as lighthouses, sited at key points astride major waterways..." (p. 54). In the Suez design, shown in Trachtenberg (pp. 52-53), the statue is holding the torch in her left hand (opposite to the Statue of Liberty).

Yes, it is true, sort of. The sculptor came up with his idea, and tried to get them to use it for the Suez canal. That didn't work out, so he tried it again with other customers. Eventually, France decided to have it made as a gift to the US. It changed somewhat since the original concept. You can see the models for building them, and read about the history in the base of the statue.

So in the experience that your AGI is decrease than or equivalent to $16,seven-hundred each and every year, you'll see an advance on your taxes (different adjustments so some distance as credit, exemptions, and deductions will likely offset this advance, it really is TBD). in spite of the undeniable fact that, the different Marginal Tax expenses that folk will be issue to, will concentration mainly on those who've countless resources of income, that were lowering those peoples' useful Tax fee, to the point the position they are paying really a lot not something in federal income taxes. so fairly, they are both telling the reality.

I don't know, but there is a miniature Statue of Liberty in the middle of the Susquehanna River. You can see it from the road if you look. I think it is in a place called Marysville or near Duncannon. It is right before you hit Enola going S. in PA. (This would be somewhere near Harrisburg, I think) Somewhere near the Rockville Bridge.

That is wrong information. The Statue of Liberty was given to us as a gift from the French citizens in recognition of our independence

Nope, made for us by some nice Frenchmen. Just for us, because of our taking in the poor, etc.. I believe there are still some nice French people out there, too, but I guess I'm in the minority....
