-how they make roller coasters
-how waterslides work
-how to live through a tsunami
-what to do when your pet is run over by a car
-what people can do about animal rights
-how to live through a situation similiar to that of the Titanic
-how ice cream is made (or whatever your favorite food is)
-how some random inventions were created (ex: band-aids, spoons, floss, paint, frisbees, hula-hoops, etc)
-how you can make the most dangerous cities safer
-how to have fun on a rainy day
-how to really get into a book
-how to do a really cool trick in your favorite sport
-how to look on the bright side of almost any situation
-how to spend the best time at your favorite vacation spot

and there are tons more!
p.s. you can use any of these ideas if you want. :)

What about something totally different, yet practical and oh so 21st century.
How to Yahoo Answers? It's a site you use and rely upon all of the time and it's a great learning tool. You probably know more about this site than surviving a blizzard. Hell, you're probably on this site during a blizzard. Be informative and witty.

pick something you absolutely love, and tell how to do it. when i was in junior high, i did one on how to bridle, saddle and mount a horse...and rode my horse to school that morning to demonstrate...life in the country, haha. but i got an a. the point is, it was something i knew inside and out, so my only thing i had to worry about was getting the speech in proper order, not the subject of the speech, so there was less to get nervous about. pick something that is involved enough to last for the amount of time you need, and PRACTICE it, because it is both longer and shorter than you think...and nothing worse than getting nervous, rushing through it so fast nobody understands what you said, and still having time left. props are good, if they are allowed, but be organized with them. good luck

The easiest way is to write about something that You are interested in and have an idea of how to do it or why it is interesting. The whole point of it is to give you experience in talking in front of a group of people.

do a presentation on something you know, like how to check your email, or post a question on yahoo....you can take screen shots with Print Screen, post the in Word, and then print them to transparencies or even make a power point slide show with them.
