It was a good movie when it came out, but now EVERYONE is filming it the way they did for the Matrix. Can't Hollywood be original anymore? I think the film industry would have been better off. They would be coming up with different ideas and not using the same one over and over again

Yea, I mean the effects, it was cool the first time, but they are so over doing it. I do like the movie tho.

OK, no one knows what I mean. I LIKE the movie. I have just gotten tired of seeing the efects on the other movies who have reused it. Like the stup new kong fu movies, or any spoof martial arts movies, along with shrek. Anyone know those? I LIKE THE MATRIX. I hate the effects now. Looks like I am the only one who has noticed it being OVER used.

of course they cant. original ideals are dead. Maybe if the movie industry didnt release 50 sucky butt movies and only released 30 good movies we would have some ideas left!

What's wrong with "The Matrix"? It was a good movie and did very well. It wasn't the best movie ever made but it was a fine idea and a well-produced film.
What you see now is a style that producers think young people want to see. Since most moviegoers are young, films are crafted for the young. If you think from the reviews that a film is going to be in a style that you won't like, don't pay your money to see it. Every time you buy a ticket, you tell a producer, "Hey, I'll pay money to see a movie like this." The only way to tell them a different message is to not buy a ticket.

What does everyone(as you say) filming their movies like the Matrix have to do with us being better off without it. What movies thats out these days isn't either a remake, sequel, or similar to some type of movie? Blame the movie studios, writers, and producers for not being original. The Matrix and the sequels following were good movies and I'm trying to figure out what movies you saw that were like it....(thinking)

Well, I don't think it would've been better off without the Matrix, because it was an original and fun movie. If the Matrix didn't come out, they would've copied something else when they got out of ideas, so it's not one movie's fault. It's just the lack of originality.

Hollywood...ORIGINAL???
Puh-leeze.
If you haven't noticed all the remakes of movies that have been done once, sometimes more, before, the question of filming styles is fairly irrelevent.
Besides, once something innovative catches the public eye...and *makes money*...well, you do the math. Studios are businesses first, artists second.

Well, the 'bullet time' thing was revolutionary. why CAN'T other movies use it? I agree that some movies may over use it but it opened up a new door for visual effects.

Speak for yourself.
The Matrix (the first one) was cutting edge when it came out.
The rest were just milking it for the money.
