tax should be handled by your bank.
to claim VAT of items (i.e. you charge your users VAT) you need a VAT number - ask an accountant or your bank.
you need to pay tax for any premises you own - inland revenue.
you may need to pay customs if business is overseas

Get hold of the tax department they will tell you all you need to know. What forms you need to fill out, when and how much of a % you need to pay. Don't know what country you are in, but all countries have tax dept. on the government web site.
