make them arcs and use the hole. Or one parabola and then cut in half the other way (like makign a sandwich.) Remember a bagel is 3 D has a hole in the middle and cuts by this definition dotn have to be sraight. SO really you could have a curvy cut or one that is deeper than another. Lots of possibilities. and As as mentioned below but i bet they didnt think of curves. go ahead and try it. also use cream cheese. mmmm.

you make an A cut. With the hole being the line between the A. and you cross each cut at the top too so you have 2 triangles at the top of the hole.

Don't pick up the knife after the second cut, and keep cutting so it's still counting as one cut.
