Talk to your lawyer...it will only affect it if you are going for custody. It doesn't affect child support dollar amount, that's already set.

Why worry about child support? Do the right thing and turn around the court case and get custody of your kid. The courts aren't going to let someone who is violent raise the child. If you can get your friends and the worker to witness for you I do not think you will have a problem. If it stays a child support case then no it will not help you. Child support is determined by paperwork and certain state guidelines. Not how the parents act.

The answer is no. I am a female going through a divorce. My soon to be ex has been abusive throughout our divorce. He has been arrested twice and is facing a jury trial. Our three year old son witnessed all of the assaults. The friend of the court looks at it in the way that it was not aimed at the child. My ex did not harm my child. Your ex did not harm your child. She is bitter towards you. Although I am not sure, you made it sound like her friend is the one who poked you in the eye, not your ex. Meaning the physical assault wasn't from your ex and even so it would not help you at the friend of the court. Sorry sounds like you are shaken by the way she was acting. You know that is not her normal behavior. You did say she was drunk. Even so facing child support day is difficult. Good Luck!!

Dude. Did you get pictures taken of any injuries? Have you filled out a police report? You were assaulted by her and her friend. Press charges. She'll have to go to court, pay fines and it will definitely help you with a custody case. Go to the police immediately with this and contact your attorney. Make SURE and get statements, or have at least one witness with you when you talk to the police. Get a statement from the employees at the restaurant that kicked her out too.

child support and child custody/visitation are seperate issues. If you bring it up for support you will look like a jerk and the judge wont be happy.
You should have gotten a police report made. If it ever happens again you should call the police and insist they file a report. Then get a copy of the report for your self.

It will not affect how much you have to pay for child support. You should have pressed charges especially since you had witnesses then you should have gone for custody, you could have shown she was violent and you were afraid for the well being of your child.

just let it go if you love your child why should it matter how much money you need to pay.Raising a child as a single mother is very expensive, and im sure whatever it is your going to have to pay in child support will probbley not even cover the day care beside if i was the judge and you brought that up in my court the old saying goes you have money to play you have money to
PAY!

it would effect your custody battle, not child support, they only care about the money issues and who will end up paying child support.if you made a police report i would pursue charges and that will help you on the custody side, and then will eventually help you on the child support side.if you do not have a police report they will take that as hear say and throe the allegations out.also make a journal of everything she does, you might need it someday

child support is based on what you earn not that...so it would only make you look like you are trying to be a trouble maker if you bring it up
but if you were going for custody of your child, a domestic assault might sway the judge as she being a unfit parent or unstable parent to live with

It wouldn't change child support; although it could change the custody order. Do you want this child to live with you? If so bring it up other wise no.
