That's an interesting question. I dont think they would have had any contact at all after the Japanese were at war with the USA and Britain. I read that there were some submarines that went back and forth carrying specialized supplies like medicines or parts for equipment such as optics.

After the War in Europe between the Germans and British started, but before the Japanese were at war with the USA and Britain (that is, before Dec 1941) they did send some missions to Germany - on one of those trips they signed a treaty called the Axis pact. The Japanese ambassador who signed that treaty later came to the USA and was one of the guys negotiating with the USA on the day the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. I think his name was Kurasao.

Yes they were Allies and traded strategic information.
on the strange side Germany was supposed to have provided Japan with the plans for a plane that could be launched from a sub for attacks against America , and planes to their advanced jets/ rocket planes which Japan was unable to utilize before the wars end if I remember correctly

japan wanted to be the master of the pacific when germany was the master of europe. italy wanted to use this opportunity to establish a greater italy by conquering countries in east africa. these three countries then signed a triparite pact and formed the axis powers.

Nope, that's what lead to their downfall in WW2; the failure to work together. Maybe we should be thankful that they didn't work together (the Nazis thought the Japanese were beneath them as far as their "racial theory" is concerned).

The Allies all involved each other at one point to beat the Axis, which was the main reason of their success.

They were allies and exchanged technology, mainly one side from Germany.

German submarines docked in Tokyo and other parts of the Japanese empire during the war too.
