i love watching the food network i watch it like everyday. what is your fave show and why? my fave is ham on the street cuz sometimes its about my fave foods and its funny sometimes.

I really used to like Paula Deen. Then I went to Savannah and was a part of the taping for the new show over this past summer. It was one of the most abismal experiences of my life!! We were there from 8am to 3pm, and they only chose tall, skinny, beautiful people to help Paula cook, and without giving specifics since I don't want them to come after me with a lawsuit since they made us sign all kinds of legal papers, the people they chose did not know how to do even the most basic of cooking and kitchen tasks!
Then, they kept promising us lunch, as all we'd been allowed all day had been small sips of non-iced water. When it was finally allowed, everyone was excited----then they brought out one chicken thigh on a saucer and a glass of sweet tea, and gave you 15 minutes to eat and take pictures (without Paula, mind you), before herding you out! I actually handled it VERY well compared with some of the professional restauranteurs and chefs in the audience.
Ever since then, I've decided that Rachel Ray is my new favorite, but I honestly don't watch the Food Network half as much as I did before that experience.
Over the summer, a restaurant owned by friends of mine was featured on Feasting on Asphalt, and I truly enjoyed the 4 weeks of that special series. I'm hoping that once I see Paula's new series on TV that I'll change my feelings about it.

I LOVE Paula Deen's show and her new one looks like a BLAST. I'd love to sit and have a cup of coffee with her. I also love Everyday Italian.
I HATE Barefoot Contessa - she comes across as too snooty.

i love unwrapped because it tells you about the food you eat every day and it's really interesting it's not just watching someone cook something like the rest of the shows on that channel...

My favourite is Everyday Italian.I like it because the recipes are very interesting and I like the whole Italian style of cooking.

I really enjoy, Paula Dean, she is so down to earth, also Rachel Ray,,, just enjoy their shows,, Paula is from the south, so I can relate to her,,,, Rachel from N.Y. is cool.

i love 30 minute meals with rachel ray . . .idk why though lol i like anything tho . . . .. I also love Everyday italinan me and my mom watch it every day shes so pretty!
