At my school, we have a trip called the Bay Trip. For three days the 8th grade is split up into 5 groups of like 20 or something. I am stuck on an island with this girl who hates me and I hate her back. She has power over ALL of the other girls, meaning basicly they are my friends but they will not be with me on the island because of her. What do I do?

Hate is a very strong word... Ask yourself why it is you think you hate this girl. Is it simply a reaction to her dislike of you? Have you ever thought that maybe this is just a communication problem, and you both have never taken the time to get to know each other? If this girl is a bully, with 'power over all the other girls", then don't concern yourself with her. Just make sure that you don't get caught up in the drama, because this is your chance to show that you're the bigger person. The other girls, your friends, might just be intimidated by this girl and so are pretending to be friends with her. Be strong, don't stoop down to this other girl who relies on fear tactics to get other girls in her ranks. You're on an island! Try to enjoy yourself despite what's going on with you and your friends.. show them that you're above the petty power struggle by doing your own thing, enjoying the activities, etc.. Hope everything works out!

if going to a teacher doesn't work then go up to the girl u hate and say " i want to hang out with my friends so can we just stop fighting with each other for each others sake. just for the trip?"

What a stupid trip. Talk to your teacher and tell her/him how you feel. Teachers should be promoting togetherness, not helping to establish a hierarchy in school.

Take away her power! Go sit down or hang out with your friends like you don't know they are snubbing you. Have as much fun as you can, don't let her take away your friends.
