Yes he is. He knew what they were going to do and he did nothing to stop it. If I was on the jury he would get as much time as those who did the deed.

You should go to the police.
If we, as citizens of the world allow people to commit this type of atrocity, you could be next.
We will all be next if it keeps happening.
Do not make the mistake of thinking that I am a weakling typing this. I used to hang out with guys you only read about.
Also a veteran of two foreign wars.
It is just that I hate stupid needless slaughter.
I believe that I am watching the downfall of society, due to gross stupidity.
Oh by the way, you may also be guilty of the same crime, because by telling you and you not going to the police, in a court trial you may need to prove your innocence.
You heard about it, you become either a witness, or an accomplice, "your move dano".

Since he knew a crime was going to take place he may be somewhat legally liable if he didnt stop it or attempt to stop it. In the eyes of the law he did the person in the trunk a wrong by not stopping it or calling the police to stop it. Did he commit murder? no. Did he stand by and do nothing? Yes.

That is a very bad thing.

Laws will differ from state to state and country to country. If this took place in the U.S, he could be guilty of any number of crimes including aiding and abetting, accessory to murder, manslaughter, and even negligent homicide. In many areas, if you can prevent a crime from happening and you do not, you are complicit and can be charged just as if you had committed the crime yourself.

Depending on the laws in your sate you could be charged as an accomplice... or under a good samaritan law.... that means, in those areas that have this law, if you fail to report a crime you know is occurring or will occur you have also committed a crime.

Just as guilty as if he killed the person
come forward to the cops and report them or go to jail for life with them
