I got a violation for asking a "chatty" question. This was the e-mail I got....

I've seen way more chatty questions. I just think it's nice when people are having something good going on in their lives....it's not like I want to know who you are or anything. What's the big deal

Don't worry, there are many stupid people here... I once got the same violation as well, the reason was the same as yours... and the question was " why none of my friends is online? what are they doing?" I didn't ask there anything chatty, I just wanted people's opinions why none of my friends was online. and the interesting thing is that I got the violation 2 weeks after I resolved the question!!! Guess there are just some bored people want to do something lol

We have enough "chatty" questions, why do we need more? Why not think of a good question to ask instead of something like this. Would save you from having to worry about getting a violation.

Because most questions should be mature and helpful to the person asking, like as a NEED.
And the answers could solve or brighten their day.
So, think positive and ask questions u need help on

IMO, you did nothing wrong. Yahoo! Answers need to eliminate entirely some of their reasons of violations.
