no, not at all. Not all teachers are intelligent, seriously, i have had some. But another teacher answered this question for me, that it is more in their personality, which influences their beliefs, and it just happens to align better with the liberal side of the spectrum. It has nothing to do with intelligence. I have met plenty of "not as smart" conservatives, that knew more about the way things work than "Intelligent" liberals. Intelligence, does not really play a role, at all.

I think it is because liberal means progressive and learning constitutes progression. People that have been immersed in a rounded education tend to have a broader world prospective. However I know plenty of very educated conservatives too. But generally teachers endure a very liberal education and it definately impacts them.

I wouldn't say all teachers. I think the higher the level, the more liberal they become. This is because they are living in splendid academic isolation with no idea of the real world. All the word's problems are in textbooks with defined answers which is the liberal way of thinking. On top of that, all they read are pseudo-intellectual rags like the NY Times which preaches liberalism continually. Its easy to have lofty principals when you're in the rear and not in the trenches like most people.

No. It's because they tend to be more intellectual instead of practical in there views of world events. If life was a controllable experiment, I'd probably be a Liberal too.

I had miserable "lifers" for teachers. They worked liked they had 30 year death sentence handed down to them from the government and they complained about it every chance they got.
