Probably People Are People or A Question Of Lust. People Are People was the first song that I heard from Depeche Mode, and it fits in perfectly with my new-found Christian belief in non-violence. It is a song every person in the world should listen to, particularly in this terrorist age.
A Question Of Lust I like because I admire Martin Gore as a singer, and he gets few chances to actually sing. It reminds me of the times that I have helped friends when relationships have broken down ("It's a question of lust/It's a question of trust/It's a question of not letting what we've built up/Crumble to dust...") and also my own life. I also have a little bit of a crush on Martin Gore! It shows him as an incredibly sensitive person..
PS If you don't know who Depeche Mode and Dave Gahan are, then you haven't heard much good music!

Somebody, because I remember my sisters listening to it when I was really little, and then it had a whole new meaning for me in high school. I know the instrumental is nothing to brag about, but the words always move me.
