ok he is my 1st bf and the problems are that my parents don't want me to have a bf and he lives in the city and i live in the suburbs we are communicating right now through computer and texting and we will see each other next week for my homecoming but other than that we will see each other when he comes and visits his cousins(my friends) we like each other a lot but in your opinion how long do you think this relationship will last and is there any other info that you can give me to stay communicated with him

Hi Laura, It sounds like your parents are just trying to protect you.Being this,your probably not 16 yet.I know for a fact long distant relationships do work.I'm in 1 now,and it has be going on for 9 months, and he lives in indiana,and we are going to meet in 2007 in nov.Let me also say,we knew each other 34yrs.ago.Anyway,i think this can work, as long as you both want it to.This way you will beable to get to know each other alittle better.Hopely by then, your parents will agreed to let you go out with him.Good Luck, and try to understand your parents point of view.

It will last as long as you want it to. Communication is a good sign. As long as he keeps communicating with you daily you're doing good.

it lasts as long as you 2 think it's going to last. Distance relationship statistically speaking don't work that often.

It's very possible. As you get older your parents will understand, and give you more leaway in yur personal life. I take it now you ar ereally young to stsart dating, and I understand your parents concerns.
Has he met your parents, if not introduce them if so ask your parent swhy they do not like him.
