I would go back to when my dad left my mum and make him take me with him. As it was hell it home with out him, I would also speak up in court and make them listen to me when I said I want to live with my dad. Or right back to see the dinosaurs as my little boy loves them i could tell lots more about them i think he would love that.

It would be interesting to alter the few key events that have shaped the last 100 years eg. the assassination of Archduke Francis Ferdinand in 1914 igniting European relations, already at breaking point, into WW1. The Great Depression and later WW2 have origins from the events leading up to WW1 .. arguably. How would the world have turned out without the two World Wars I wonder - maybe another question for Yahoo?

1943 - Shropshire, England.

Britain had the highest level of social cohesion in the War years. Times were hard, tens of thousands were dying, but we were a people with a cause. Everyone was clear on what was right, and what was wrong. The war effort and the good of society came before the 'rights' of the individual. Now we are a whining, multicultural, overcrowded, crime-ridden mess.
By 1943, we'd won the Battle of Britain, we were winning in Africa and America had finally deigned to support us. Optimism was growing. Shropshire is a beautiful county - and largely escaped the ravages of war - but of course I would have been fighting, due to conscription, so I'd only have been allowed back there on leave.
We owe so much to our ancestors.

back to 1985... and then back to the future... no, but 80s is cool...

however, I may want to travel back 2001 9/10 to warn about what would happen the next day...

wait if I do that, I will be called the greatest suspect unless I can bring the tape of the future back to the past to show the government to prevent this from happening..

Travel back to the time before the Universe existed. Come back and then we'd all know what happened before the Big Bang and nobody would be able to ask that question ever again.

August Bank holiday 1977. Then I wouldn't drink that half bottle of Southern Comfort and end up inside for 2 yrs.

Apart from that I'd go back to where the wheel was invented and talk them out of it. We were better off in the trees.

If I could somehow be assured of my safety I would go back to the golden era of Greek civilization.

The 1920's, before the market crashed.

No real reason except that I've always loved that era :)
