I just turned on the TV to watch the local news and discovered I am going to have to wait nearly an hour for it to come on, if at all. I swear, they treat football like it's king in this country. Even the local newspaper gives far more attention to football than it does any of the other sports. There are sports besides football that deserve coverage as well, ya know. I tell ya, it's disgusting!

It didn't bother me until this year. It seems like every other sports channel had a football game. I wanted watch a baseball game and all they had was football. I want to know about the pennant races right now.

No. I am not sick of it. This is only the 3rd weekend in college football and the second in the NFL. Football is King, for better or worse. I get tired of hearing stories about teachers having sex with students, people being robbed, and how hot or cold the weather will be. When I want the weather I can go outside. I have just as good of chance to predict it as the forecasters do. The local news is important, but most of the local news where I am from is trivial. The real news is on cable channels which run 24/7. Try living in Texas where they even broadcast High School games. The newspaper has a section dedicated to sports. You don't have to read that section if you don't want to. Personally I don't like the classifieds, so I never read those..... ;)

Sorry, but I love football -and I'm a girl. You better get use to football monopolizing the networks - there big money in it. In the Detroit area we have more then one local station to watch news - I'm sure you do too - turn the channel!

Yeah they should only show sports on ESPN. Its the same way with baseball too. Grrr!

yea i cant stand that!!!! my fav. show is coming on and i'm stuck watchin football??? they should put all the football games where they belong: the SPORTS channel.....
