When I had my rabbit it used to have free run of the house. It used to chase my cat!!
One time she went behind the t.v. and got her leg caught up in a cord. When she realized she was caught she started screaming as she panicked. Unfortunately I cannot describe the noise to you very well. It was a high pitched sound of an animal in distress. It was HORRIBLE!!! I ran SO fast to her as a mother would do if her child screamed.

Yes, rabbits can and do scream when they're in a very stressful situation...it's a distress signal that warns other rabbits that there is severe danger around.
The rabbit scream is sometimes compared to the high pitch squeal of a human infant.
The first time I heard it was when I first started raising rabbits (over 10 years ago). I had hutches on the patio with a motion sensor light mounted above the cages (so I'd be alerted whenever something went close to the cages and I could respond appropriately). One day the light went on and I rushed outside just in time to hear one of my 3 week old babies scream, as a dog ran out of the yard. The dog was trying to get into the cage (and was thankfully unsuccessful).

Yes, rabbits, apparently, can scream in a high-pitched tone when scared or hurt. My pet rabbit experienced such a fright during an attempt to make it tougher and like a Navy SEAL. I was actually very taken aback when the rabbit screamed. It sounded much like a lunatic inside a mental asylum. I guess that isn't a very good description.

A rabbit will let out a high pitched squeel, when it is being attacked. Our killer cat named Max, one night pounced on one of the sweet little jack rabbits. They were under my car and I could not help the poor little thing. Damned Max killed it before I could move my car. The poor little jack rabbit laid on his side with severe injury. His sweet little paws were laying over his eyes, both of them. It was as tho., he did not want to see what was happening to him. The terrible, horrifying scream, squeel was so sad. I hope you never have to hear it. It is a cry you will never forget. Damned that Max. He only has three legs, too.

It does sound like a scream, a horrible scream. The first time I heard it, I didn't know what it was until the next day and found the poor thing.

Yes rabbits scream, usually when they are cornered or attacked by a predator.
Recordings of rabbits screaming are used by some coyote hunters to lure coyotes within range.

I never knew they did that until my lab found one and began chasing it inside our fenced yard. It was a high pitched terrified sound and I never want to hear it again. By the way, I caught the dog and the rabbit went out a hole in the fence never to be seen again.

It is a high piercing shrill. We raised rabbits when I was younger and you would hear the rabbits make that scream when a weasel would get in their cage and hurt them or kill them.
