I have found the 5 most important inventions, which are 1. Battery, 2. Can and can opener, 3. Sewing machine, 4. Reaper (to harvest crops), and 5. Braille.

I am having trouble in justifying why they are important. Please help

I'd say from order of importance (and by early 19th century, I'm assuming the 1800's...)

1-The battery.
2-The refridgerator
3-The sewing machine.
4-The steam engine.
5-A reaper.

Just my thoughts.

One of the problems in answering this question is, do you mean the very first version of the invention, before it became popular (like refrigeration or photography) or do you mean the invention of the successfull version of the invention, after it had been around for awhile but didnt work, and then they improved it and it worked - like the railroad engine or telegraph or dynamo ?

A great book about the changes that happened in the early 1800s is "Birth of the Modern" by Paul Johnson. It's really long, though.
