Go to the bank or a vending machine operator like Coke or Pepsi and ask for a bag of nickels or dimes, or at the bank, pennies. Then sift through them for old or unique coins that the coin dealers might find valuable.

Not a lot you can do with $20. Another possibility is buy those little pocket raincoats/ponchos or umbrellas when on sale during a long dry spell, then have them available on rainy days.

Go to a yard sale and find merchandise to sell on Ebay. If you buy $10 worth of items and use the other $10 for fees and mailing, you can easy double or triple your money within a week. Then, use 1/2 of the profits for another round of items. Not all your items are going to sell so use intuition... would you buy that item for $1 or $2 or $5??? If you wouldn't then nobody else would either. The best things are videos, books, CDs and things that can be mailed easily. Your $20 can turn to $40 and that $40 can turn to $80 in no time. There's risk involved. Don't be afraid to lose money but also respect yourself and your customers to buy and sell with integrity.
