I'm a web developer. ColdFusionMX server is running on one of the computers (192.168.1.2) sharing the same wireless network as my laptop (192.168.1.4) - I've allowed the firewall to accept requests from my laptop, so I can access the ColdFusion server just fine but I'm just wondering how I gain access to files on the server so that I can develop.

This is really a file permissions question - how can I gain access to files on the server from my laptop?

here is what you need to do if you know what the admin acct is then go to the run command and type the \\machine name\c$
if it prompts you for password or login type the machine name of the computer you want to access \admoin account name and password

to do this you can also creat a local account on the remote computer and use that iD And password

File sharing has to be enabled on the server or set up a shared drive on the server.
