I don't try to catch someone's eye. If I do catch someones eye it is by pure coincidence. I get flattered when I catch someone's eye. It just means that they find me attractive in some way or another. It looks goofy and fake I think.......for someone to intentionally try to catch someones eye.lol

You keep noticing them, but don't stare. Eventually, they will approach you, usually without being aware they are doing it, and will give you an opportunity to start a conversation.

As cheesy as it may sound, I simply wink. I establish eye contact with them then wink! It's always been followed by them coming over to talk to me. :-)

you glance at them and turn away. wait for them to look at you and wait about three seconds and untill they look away. then eventually you'll both meet eye to eye and simply smile.
I think it works.
