They were not both yes or no questions, glassman. You can do better than that, can't you?

There are no loose aluminium particles in beverage cans, if they have no dents or internal scratches. The inside of the can is covered in a protective layer.

From the US National Institutes of Health
"Due to certain additives, processed cheese and cornbread are two major contributors to high aluminum exposures in the American diet. With regard to pharmaceuticals, some common over-the-counter medications such as antacids and buffered aspirin contain aluminum to increase the daily intake significantly"

Plastic bottles are made of PET which can sometimes can contain acetaldehyde according to a paper.

No to the first since the cans are pressure formed. There is no cutting so there almost a minimal chance of particles.

A can straight out of a package has not been touched by human hands so drinking out of them is safe. Out of a machine or store shelf is a different story. I've been drinking straight out of the can or bottle for more years than I care to remember and have never associated any problems with it.

Not scientific but it does a modicum of logic.

Eating or drinking from Aluminum vessels is not completely safe. Remember the Romans and their lead glasses. ... Many people are exposed to aluminum through soft-drink cans. It's said it can cause Alzheimer's disease. But that is wrong. None of that is true. Keep drinking!! (alcohol not recommended though :)

the aluminum your body absorbs is when your drinking a pop is like .000000000000000001% or something like that, not very much, but if your worried about getting Alzheimer's or something i would drink out of plastic bottles.

Beverage containers; plastic, aluminum, glass, etc... are remarkably safe. All are easily recycled. I prefer plastic because its resealable. Unfortunately plastic are a petroleum product. (waste not want not) and with fuel prices these days....darned if you do, darned if you don't.
