There is no problem with leaving a refrigerator in an unheated garage. The only problem that you will have is trying to keep frozen things frozen in the freezer unless the thermostat is located in the freezer.
If the thermostat is located in the fresh food section it is controlling temperatures between 35 degrees F. and 45 degrees F. . If the temperature in the garage is at or below 35 degrees .F. the unit will not run because the thermostat senses that it is cold enough in the fresh food section. The freezer however relies on the unit running to obtain below freezing temperatures and will not be able to freeze anything.
If the thermostat is located in the freezer there will be no problem whatsoever keeping both the fresh food and freezer sections at a proper temperature.
If the temperature in the garage gets below freezing for too long the things in the fresh food section could freeze so the temp. should be monitored during a cold period.

you're primary concern for storing a car (winter or not) is when tires are stored for long periods without being moved, they form flat spots on the tires - then when you start driving again, you get an annoying thump sound from one or more of the tires also - it is recommended that you use silicone spray on all rubber gaskets like door gaskets and such - it will keep the seal from cracking If the car is going to be stored longer than 2-3 months, the fuel MUST be drained from the car. Fuel will gel up after a few months and will clog fuel injectors or carbuerators and cause quite an expense when you try to get going again Also - most local car part stores have battery "keepers" and what they do is keep the battery from sulfating and getting ruined - most keepers are 25 bucks or so - plus , just remove the battery - which will keep the cables from corroding hope it helps

Yes, although it might actually be warmer in the fridge than in the actual garage, as the fridge does have insulation, and over time it will settle toward a "room temperature" that might be warmer than the outside.

Things will freeze if it gets below freezing in the fridge. There is no heating element to keep it above freezing. It would take a while as the fridge is insulated but eventually it would get cold enough.

The refrig can be left in the garage if it is not being used. If you have it plugged in as I do mine, you will have to turn it off when the weather stays below freezing for any length of time or the refrig. will freeze up. We empty ours and turn it off about every Jan. until the weather warms.

Yes, but if you're not going to be using it, be sure to remove the doors. Not only will you keep the fridge from getting musty, but you'll prevent kids from getting trapped inside.
