Theirs is an intolerant faith based on a variety of errors/falsehoods. Is it not our role as civilised people to help them come to terms with this + maybe put them on the right track in life. Surely they are not all evil?

James/Skipper/ I am with you okes. Just cos I posted the question does not mean I support it. Heck my last 2 girlfriends were muslims. Unfortunately they were not allowed to marry me due to family pressure.

Judging from your earlier “question” “What makes muslims constantly believe that they are some sort of special case.?” you aught to be able to answer that question yourself.

**EDIT**

The other question was not a question, you went on a rant, and I am to believe that this is a ‘Question’ and ‘Answer’ service, not an ‘Opinion’ and ’you better agree with me or I’m going to slag you off’ service.

Now my answer to this question. I think so many people seem to hate Muslims because they don’t know any personally. As they don’t know any Muslim people personally they form their opinions via the telly. Usually the media portrays Muslims as an angry bunch who fly planes in to tall buildings all the time. This is obviously a ridiculous notion to have. It is that simple. You yourself claim to have known some, why have you not learned anything from them about the Islamic faith? I put it to you that you don’t know any Muslim people and never have. You also said “Folks I used to be a liberal. Then 9/11 happened. I would see everyone of them fry.” Obviously your opinion of Muslims has been formed as a result of the media as 9/11 was the worlds most publicised terrorist attack in history.

P.S. My farts are heavenly.

I do not thinks it has to do with their faith may be it has to do with the press telling stories about the September 11, and using generalization worlds like "group of extremist Muslims" and not identifying the extremist from the people of the Muslims countries doing this and that.

We are told that not all Muslims are fanatics, but I have yet to hear one Muslim condemn the attacks on the World Trade Centre, Madrid or London. I have yet to hear one Muslim condemn the beheading of hostages. Their silence says it all. I have heard young British Muslims speak on television and, while they might not be directly involved in terrorism, they say that they agree with the cause. I believe that their mission in life is to convert everyone to their faith by whatever means it takes. I could never bring myself to like or trust them.

Because they don't understand or see in media coverage that the vast majority of Muslims are people just like you or I and do not want to kill anyone anymore than we do. If all the Muslims you ever saw were calling for the destruction of the West, it's somewhat understandable that you would begin to hate Muslims, however misguided and ignorant.

The "terrorist" have created FEAR, that leads to all types of intolerance.
Sad to say by just looking at someone you do not know if they are extremist or not, so all the people are painted with the same brush.

No you have it all wrong. People hate what they do not understand. They fear it.

We are supposed to be a nation of understanding...I served for 5 years in the Navy and seen many countries and many people of many faiths. Muslims, true muslims are that of peace and love. I'm talking of the middle east.

You do not see on the news the love alot of them have for us. that they are better off with us helping...it is not the Iraqis that are fighting us, these insugents are not even Iraqi. they are from othe rnations who fear freedom and democracy....

Do not blame the faith in God of another. that is not what God or Jesus Preaches, he preaches love.

We can live harmoniously...Just give alil understanding. And Yes I do support this war in Iraq...and this war on terrorism.

Additional: I was not wanting you to take a hit...that was not my intent...I even voted on a thumbs up for this question...I meant no disrespect to you.
