Conversation on the phone

Girl: ok, its late now so im off to bed
Boy: go to bed, i'll be there soon
Girl: (pause) ok, bye
Boy: keep the bed warm for me (laughs)
Girl: good night

Another conversation on the phone

Girl: I hope i marry someone really nice in the future
Boy: im sure he will be perfect, considering it would be me you'll be marrying
Girl: Since when have i been set to marry YOU in the future?
Boy: what are you talking about? I proposed to you the other day and you said yes - i even got you a ring!? Dont say you're backing out now
Girl: (laughs)
...............
Girl: oh, im so glad i would be marrying someone older than you - you're such a dork!
Boy: well, obviously after a few years time, i will be older than i am now, so i guess thats ok since its ME!

What do you think - btw, it doesnt necesserily mean its about me!

The boy is flirting with the girl...he wants to be more than friends.

Well...Let's see...

This guy obviously feels the relationship has reached a certain level but the girl isn't quite there yet. They probably get on well together but the guy has translated the friendship (in his mind) into something more personal. If the girl isn't prepared, at this stage, to indulge the guy with the advances he's making, she ought to let him know politely as soon as possible. If the guy is somewhat insecure, he may not take the rejection well and the friendship may deteriorate. To prevent this from happening, I would recommend that the girl approach the guy, and resolve the matter in a friendly but direct way.

The flip side of this is that the girl may like the advances being made but due to inexperience, may find the whole situation unsetling.

In any case, I would tread carefully, yet assertively, so as not to ruin a good friendship that has yet to blossom in to what ever it potentially can be or needs to be.

But, hey, I'm least qualified to give relationship advice!

Well the fact he is on the phone with her before bed and is saying those lines... he wants it!
If it were just to a freind he may still be on the phone, but it is highly unlikely that he would use such lines.
It is however important that due to the nature of his delivery (I'm guessing in a humourous manner), he IS interested, but maybe not as interested as it may seem. In all likelyhood, he doesn't want to just jump into a relationship or something, but to explore the possibility of it.
Hope this helps :-)

It's difficult to truly judge. It may be too easy to skew or read into what is said over a telephone line.

Instead of the phone talks, examine the live conversations, where you can study facial expressions and body language. And if any touching is involved, see how it relates to the discussion.

Finally, decide what you (or whomever) really want(s) in that relationship. Honesty must be offered, if it is expected in return.

Seems to me that someone needs to speak face to face rather than the phone at least you can see and sense the body language for such a question ,but I would hope any serious proposal would be face to face.

i think the boy is flirting with the girl. He probably likes the girl and doesnt want to openly tell her, but somehow let her know. He is dropping little hints. If it was just one little comment then consider that a friendsly joke, but that is several times

Just wondering - how do you know what both sides of the conversation were, if it is not you! Or are you listening to someone else's telephone calls?

However, if they are real phone calls then the female needs to watch out - either he fancies her or he is beginning to become a stalker!!!

he`s flirting but dont read to much into it cause men are like that they think with their tackle my ex dumped me but continued to flirt and even suggested no strings sex. charming!..so i wouldnt think to much into this yet unless he turns around and out right says he wants a relationship and even then he could change his mind 6 months down the line..so ask him"whats with all the flirting lately"?
