So many say Russia is a part of Eastern Europe, but other people say it's part of Asia? Even some Russians including my mother, claim it is a part of Asia. I am 100% Russian, and I really hope it is a part of Asia. That would be cool. So is it a part of Asia or not?

Russia originated in Europe, the old historical parts of Russia is all European, the capital and the biggest cities are European and still the most populous part of Russia is certainly in Europe. The not-very-populous part East of the Ural mountains (the Siberia) is however sure the bigger area.

So ... now it depends on which part of Russia YOU stem from ... ;)
