Thanks for all the answers so far, I just wanted to say that I will be happy with anything we get and will love it no matter what. I do pray for a safe and healthy pregnacy and a healthy baby.

Your husband is right. The sperm determine what sex the baby is going to be.
There is nothing that you can eat that will increase your chances of having a boy.
There is a very expensive and not completely reliable method of taking the sperm and putting it in a machine that spins really really fast, the "male" sperm and the "female" sperm are separated and then a doctor can inject you with the male sperm, but like I said it costs a ton of money and isn't completely reliable.
Instead of hoping for a boy, why don't you just hope for healthy and happy, and everything after that is a bonus.

Yes true he does determine the sex of the baby. However, I know there are certain things that he shouldn't do as a soon-to-be father but has been proven to create more female babies and that is drinking or smoking weed. Otherwise thank God for the miracle, enjoy each moment of the baby growing inside of you, and bethankful and blessed when the child is a healthy boy or girl to grow with for years to come.

All I can say is, If he has a girl, he must not be a real man. JUST KIDDING. Seriously, it won't matter once the time comes. I thought about how cool it would be to have a son too. But my Wife and I had 2 girls first. Then we had two boys. But, it really didn't matter to me one way or the other. Once that little girl was born, she was my whole world. But, for fun tell your Husband to eat lots of fresh habenero and jalapeno peppers. Won't do a dang thing for the sex of the baby, but this is your chance to get him back for you labor experience even before it happens. Good Luck.

It is true that your husband's sperm determines the sex of the baby. There is nothing, though, that you can eat that can make sure you have a boy. There is a doctor out in California, I be live, that will separate the sperm into the ones that make girls and boys and will inseminate you with "boy" sperm. It costs about $10,000 for one try, though. I don't know if this practice has spread to fertility specialists around the country. You could look into it, though, if you have the money. Good luck!

yes, he does determine if the gender is boy or girl. Your genetic makeup is XX meaning you are a girl. His genetic makeup is XY, the Y makes him a boy. all of his sperm have the possibility of either contributing an X or Y, which determines the sex of your baby. However, you have no way of knowing which sperm contains an X and which one contains a Y. There is no way to change the ratio, or the likelyhood for having a boy. You can't physically determine which sperm reaches your egg and fertilizes it.

Yes it is true. The man determines the sex of the child. It all depends on his siblings. There is nothing a man can do or eat to determine the sex of the child. It is the luck of the draw. Good luck

There is no definite way, short of spinning the sperm and using artificial insemenation. This costs about $300-$400.
There are however several methods which are all debatable.
Here is a link to a site that explains the different methods, and what you can do to improve your chances. What I always hear about trying to have a boy, is that you should have intercourse close to ovulation.

there are alot of myths about this but unless you want to fork over 3500 dollars on gender choosing you kinda gotta take what you can get. I am pregant with boy number 2 and i already am saving for my gender choice of a girl because I only want three kids and I know It will all be worth it. My family will be complete. Alot of people tell me not to "play GOD" but I think if a doctor is able to complete my family, I am happy. I am one of the lucky ones who can get pregnant whenever I want to but I am not one of those women who cant contol it and has 7 kids that they cannot afford to raise. I deserve my girl!

It's up to God and which sperm latches onto your egg that determines what you get. Just hope for a healthy baby, in my experience the more I hoped for a baby girl the more I got the opposite, whom I love better than life, again just pray its healthy.

Here we go again. Only God can decide what you're going to have-boy or girl. No food, drink, sex positions, time of day.......can determine that. It is already determined for you. Just take what you get and I promise you will love him/her more than you ever thought you would.
