Ok i have to ask another?Iv'e been living here for like 8 months my hubby's in the military for like 10 yrs so we always lived on bases .Neighbors have always been quite cool etc...Sowe are renting a house here in orange county ca. We have these older neighbor's .Well everytime we have our t.v on not even loud they come over and ask us to lower it there very rude and we always lower it iv'e never been disrespectful toward them i even tried to be there friend.Well last week they called the cops on us because of our t.v cops said just to lower so we did.Ok well last night they called them on us again for the t.v being loud and it is not ,The funny thing was that the cop came up and said this is ridclous it's not even loud well neways the cop and my hubby ended up knowing the same guy in the same platoon etc...So the cop was cool and did not even tell us anything haha in there faces but i dont know what to do always live like without watching tv or just have them call the cop on us .

Are you windows open? Your houses must be really close together. Revenge can be sweet so keep a close eye on them and complain about everything they do! Kinda kidding cause that is no way to live but I feel for you they are being impossible. Maybe bake the old bats a plate of cookies and be really sweet, kill them with kindness....wait that leads to an idea, perhaps poison in the cookies....................but I'm getting off track. What I meant to say was maybe if you befriend them, get on a first name basis, offer to help when you see them outside, etc...maybe then they'll feel too guilty to complain about your TV.
That or you could just have sex REALLY LOUD to really piss them off.

When there Really is a Noise Problem that can't or won't be Resolved, what is Utilized in a Court of Law is a Calibrated Decibel Meter, which Records the Sound Level, as well as the Time and Date of the Alleged Offense. This can Work Both ways, if You can get One, and Set it up Near Your Fence. Also, have a Copy of the Approved Sound Level Ordinance for Your Neighborhood. Then, with that Level of Proof, You can File a Harassment Suit against Your Neighbors. They may even have to Pay Your Expenses for Renting a Decibel Meter, since They Initiated a Frivolous Complaint against You that caused You to Render Proof of Your Innocence ! But I would hope that would only be a last resort. Just don't do anything Violent. It's not worth it.Hope this helps !

First let me say that I have lived by a few but-heads before so you have my simpithy. try this take a video-cam walk out so that it will be able to pick up sounds from inside. (if the sounds are loud) play your television at the regular volume. if the recoreder does not pick up the sound then you have a case of herassment. You will also have it on tape. make sure that you get some copies of the police reports. those and the testimony of the officer will be a close down case.

see a lawyer about getting a restraining order. You have a right to watch TV if the volume is at a reasonable level. You might check with the city and see what their ordinances are about noise.

go talk to the woman over there explain to her she and her hubby is being commie bastards in no uncertain terms and that its a free country and that your husband is a military man fighting for there freedom and to mind there own damn bussiness and last but not least that you are gonnafile a harrasment complaint if they don quite there imature chidish sh*t
