There are two ways, one that's free and one that costs a little money. Both work best if you have Windows XP or Mac OS X. If you have Windows 98 or an earlier version of the Mac OS, you will probably need a driver for your camera. The driver will probably be on your camera manufacturer's Web site.
The free way is to look for the USB cable that came with your camera. One end will plug into the camera and the other goes into a USB port on your computer. With your computer on and your camera off, plug the cable in at both ends, then switch on the camera. If all goes well, the camera will show up on the computer as a new drive, just like a hard drive or a CD drive. Open that drive and drag the pictures onto your desktop or into your hard drive. I set up folders for the pictures with a good name so I know what the pictures are, such as "Beach Trip," "Cars" and "Vacation 2006."
The way that costs a little bit of money is to get a card reader from a computer store or Wal-Mart. They cost around $20-30 and plug into a USB port on your computer. Remove the memory chip from your camera, stick it into the card reader, and it is just like another drive on your computer. Move the files to where you want them or you can open them directly from the chip. There are several different kinds of memory chips, so bring your camera with you when you're shopping. The store's clerk will tell you which card reader will work for you.

1. Install the PC-Connect software (which will be provided with camera, or else you can download from Internet) in the computer.
2.Connect your camera to the computer through the provided USB cable.
3. Whenever you connect the camera, the software should run automatically, if not run the software.
4. Click on copy to computer or transfer photo (or similar meaning) button and follow the instruction.
There is a other way too: (only if photo is been stored in the external memory card in the camera, and you have a card reader)
Take out the memory card (stick) from your camera, and insert it to appropriate slot in the card reader.
Connect the card reader to the computer.
Open the external mass storage device showed in My Computer.
Copy the photos which will be in relevant folders to your local drive in the computer.

Your camera either came with a docking station or usb cable. A docking station kinda looks like an old cellphone charger. Anyways your camera will plug into one end of the USB cable/Docking station and at the other end will be a plug that fits into you computer where it says USB. When you turn the camera on you PC will have a message appere over by the clock that says "Found New Hardware USB memory device or the name of the camera. When that shows up you then go to "My Computer" and under either Hard Drives or Devices with removable storage you will either see USB memory Device or the name of your camera. Right click on that go to open. then there should be a folder that shows up. Open it to see if your pics are in there. then go back to the folder right click on it and select copy and paste

Best to read the manual and use the cables supplied. If it does use USB it's pretty simple as other answers have stated. If it's an older camera you'll need a wire that will connect to a 9 pin serial port and the camera software to download the pictures from the camera.

Usually a usb cable supplied with the camera which connects to your pc. Windows XP treats it as an extra drive and allocates it a leter. Just copy from that drive to the destination folder.
Good Luck!

This really depends on what your PC operating system is.
If you are using Windows XP then it is just a case of plugging the USB cable into the camera and computer, switching the camera on and XP will take you through the rest.

connect it through a usb cable and go to my computer and look for a removable drive that shows up that wasnt there before. the pictures will be on there,
you might have to select the transfer option on the camera first depending on make and model, plus it may or may not need drivers installing first on the pc.

When you buy the camera, they give you a wire that comes with the box. And plug that wire with ur camera and to the computer's USB, then the window should come out sth..and just click whtever that tells you.
Or you gotta buy the expand card-reader, after you bought that thing, just take out the memory card from ur camera and then put it into the card-reader thingy, and it will let you to download the pictures.
