No, your parents wouldn't have to pay for your debts, they would die with you, but don't be silly, and thinking things like that. Too many people worry about debt, yes I know it is a stressful thing to happen to you, but its not the end of the world.
As you are on benefits, write to each of the companies that you owe money too, and offer them a payment of £1.00 per week. You will probably find that they will reject this offer and take you to court, but don't worry about that, as going to court will probably benefit you, as the judge will see you only get so much from benefits, and you can't pay what you haven't got - Can You. The judge will probably say you can pay £1.00 a week, or even less and that the interest will be put on hold too. Don't worry about it and make yourself ill. Seek guidance straight away.
Check out the site below, to see if that can help you. There's loads of good information on their.

Take care of yourself, and STAY ALIVE.
The other thing you may be able to do is declare yourself Bankrupt, and I think all debts would be wiped. The only downside is that you will be blacklisted. Buy hey, who cares.

Hello. I have spent the last 6 yrs recovering from a critical mental illness. Like you, at one point ending it seemed to be a logical option. Your scenario is cumulative. By this I mean whichever angle you look at, financial, family, home etc etc. the same pattern exists - loss, worthless, victim. This pattern can be changed though you dont believe it now because you are right in the thick of it. To have a turnaround requires faith in God, then faith in your own intuition. Faith as small as a mustard seed grows into a large oak tree - though it may take some years. I would suggest you reflect on those things going well. Even if its as small as you making a cup of tea and enjoying it. Try to focus on just one or two small things that go well for you. Meditate and enjoy the pleasure you have in these small things. Make it a regular pattern each day in your life. U see you need to break the habit of negative life cycle. Begin in these small yet concrete ways. U just need to get back your sense of control, worth and value. You do have the ability to enjoy aspects of life, even the smallest aspect - sunshine in the day. You love life - make the decision and be steadfast by it. Let you and your positive aspects meet up with life, and build up; on this cycle. You decide. You control. You focus. You introduce this cycle. Eventually this cycle will change your current cycle. Hope this helps U. Be a life changer.

No they won't, unless they have signed a guarantee agreement for a creditor on your behalf.
I can only assume that you are hurting because I have posted similar questions when I have felt down.
You have two separate problems as far as I can tell:
1. Mental health issues that need attention. You need to see your GP and be honest and say that you are having suicidal thoughts. You will be given the help U need. Do it - Make an appointment/visit first thing on Monday Morning.
2. Debts - You first need to get your health right to deal with this. List everything. Or get a friend to. Visit you local CAB and they will give you free, confidential, professional advice and assistance in sorting this situation out.
Don't give up. There is always a solution.

Firstly the answer to your question is No.
however why would you want to kill yourself over money. You will leave behind so many people that will miss you and will never know how they could have helped you. This thought will haunt them for the rest of their lives.
My partner and best friend and 2 different people who were close to them do this. It was over 6 years ago for one of them and it still effects them.
If you care enough to be worrying about leaving your debt to others then you must care enough about how this will effect them. These thoughts must be worth living for.
you are a caring person and there are others who care about you.
you can get financial help. 2 avenues to pursue, firstly the citizens advice and then secondly try a solicitor - a friendly of mind did this and they were able to get 90% of their debt written off and they were working full time.
give it a shot, everything is worth ago if it means living a better and more livable life

If you have no house, how do the dss pay your rent?????? If you are in debt by thousands you are better off filing for bankruptcy where you would not have to repay the money but you would not be able to have credit for 6 years. Anyhow I would like to know why your lazy back side does not have a job?. For the sake of six years being bankrupt why would you take your life for the sake of a small timescale in your life, your a coward if you are thinking of taking the easy way out, you are sad by wanting to kill yourself and selfish by landing your shite on your parents, take responsibility for your own wrong actions.....urgh you put me off from wanting kids!!!

Don't do it. It's not fair to your parents. If you care about them then get help. What's the worst that can happen with your debt... there is nos such a thing as a debtors prison .. file bankruptcy (there are many attorneys that will help you for free), move out of your apartment and back in with your family and make a new start..

First of all don't think of death as a way out.
Contact the national debt helpline.
Explain your situation and they will help you out before you do anything rash.
Even if your parents have nothing to do with you now, I'm sure they would be devastated if you took your life over something so senseless and easily resolved.

Hi, I was in a similar situation. You need to contact national debline. Please don't kill yourself, I felt the same and after speaking to them I felt so much better, they put everything into perspective. I was in nearly £30,000 of debt. Since speaking to them, I declared myself bankrupt and all of my debt has been written off. Although it will be on my credit record for 6 years, I didn't really have any other options. I hope it all works out for you..xx p.s. Don't be tempted by any of them ads in the paper that say they can wipe away 90% of your debt. They charge YOU for their services and everything they do is available though nationald Debtline for free..

no it wont fall on them, but why kill yourself?
screw money its only pieces of paper you may have none now but that can change.
have you ever tried getting a job?
and so you cant afford repayments... just dont pay them. you will get bad credit but whats that compared to death?
And finally if you really are going to kill yourself over money then try robbing a bank first and see if you can get away with it. If you get busted then just go ahead with the suicide as planned :)
