Ok, I know that in order to be a runway model you pretty much have to be a giant, which I am not. But there has to be a way and an agency that takes models for just print work who aren't so tall. I'm 5'4" so runway is outta the question but I am very interested in modeling. I know that those models in magazines and commercials aren't all 5'7" and taller...anyone have some advice for me or knows where I can get a head start to begin my career.

Not all models are really tall, my daughter is only 5' 5", and shes done local stuff, Get a real agent, not like john robert powers. A real agency will not charge you up front for anything. you don't have to go to modeling school.

Hopefully you live close to a major cosmo area such as San Fran, L.A. or NYC. You have to be able to drop everything and travel for a job or an audition.

Some specialty models are shorter, like feet models are usually petite because their feet are so tiny and cute.
