Why are all convenience stores being bought or owned by people of middle eastern heritage?

Are we going to have to learn to speak arabic or spanish just to function at the quickie mart?

Since the 1970's the raise if foreign owned companies has grown. THey pay a lot for the business, and in return they run it by family members to make even more money which get sent back home. And how much of that US dollar is being used against us. Most of the family labor is shared buy each memeber of the family. I dont know how many but there is about a 50% of american businesses are now owned by foreigners. Take Citgo for one... owned by the Brazilian Government. Just about a month ago that President bad mouthed the US. ANd we are making him rich. I for one beleive that within the next 50 years becuase our govt, does not keep an eye on things. are govt will not be as it used to be. I understand someone wanting a better life, but when you come here, start gangs, running drugs, and any other illegal activies, then its time to returned. But thats my opionion. I live in AMerica and I have that right.

It's just not your corner store, it's restaurants, hotels, telemarketers, and credit card companies. I call about my credit card accounts, and I can't understand the person on the other end. I think these people take a lot less money, and so they're taking our American jobs. It's really sad, huh ? ~~~

Because they are willing to work hard and run these places themselves with very little help. It is hard to make money in these kind of places as an absentee manager (ie. having employees) because overheads are so high. They are willing to work the stores themselves and make a decent living ...
