Remind your guest them that there may be a limit on the number of persons occupying the apartment. iAlso, remind the guest that anyone not fitting the definition of a short-term guest according to the lease must go through applicant screening procedure and, if approved, sign the lease and PAY RENT. If you knowingly let a person stay beyond the overnight guest limitation in the lease, you may have effectively agreed to add the additional person to the lease. You cannot technically evict a non-tenant. You allowed this to happen and may be breaking the lease. Enforce your overnight guest rules. Provide him notice you are putting his belongings outside the apartment or in storage and call the police to assist.

He really hasn't established any permanent residency, he's like on visitor status. Call the Police and tell them you want him out. They will tell you what they can and cannot do.
But right now put a written letter of 'Notice of Eviction' on his door and state on it a length of time for him to leave or you will place his belongings on the 'Right of Way' ( that means the side of the road ). And if there is a certain time limit you will not have wasted any time.
I would have put him out and all his stuff too. Then if he beat on the door, I would call the police.

If he stays long enough, he does acquire some rights under the law. I doubt 2 weeks is enough. Box up his stuff, leave it just INSIDE the door, and when he shows up next. shove it outside. If you put it outside when he's not around, you could be held responsible if it is stolen.

The police will help you evict him, if you tell him to leave and he won't go. If you put his stuff outside and it is damaged or stolen, you could be held liable for it. Best advice, is call your police department.

ok, you story does not make sense. someone showed up and say I am staying here. Ok, you have a friend you know staying with you. You tell them to leave, if they don't have keys you don't let them in.
And yep you set his stuff out and lock the doors

he just bullied his way in? First thing: let your landlord know what's going on and see if you can get him on your side. if this guy isn't paying any rent it's up to the landlord to get him out ( and isn't what he's doing trespassing?)and you know, as long as your paying rent it's YOUR home and you have the right to not let someone in. if he threatens you get the cops.
you should also consult your ag office and find out what the laws are in this situation. good luck!

I think the police can do it. The guy can't prove he lives there. They will consider him trespassing if he refuses to leave. He has the right to remove all his possessions though. Do not damage or dispose of his possessions.
