by the way, this cell phone saved my brother's life once, so you should take that into consideration.

I was 11 turning 12 when I got my first cellphone.I do not think 12 is too young for getting a cellphone.By 12 years old you are responsible enough to take care of a phone and know what your limit is.At 12 years old you wanna be able to come home do homework and call your friends.I f you use the home phone all the time what are the younger siblings who have no cellphone going to use.That is just my opinion.

I was 26 when I got my first cell phone. I do think that 12 is too young for a cell but I do know that today parents want to make sure they know where their child is at all times. It really isn't any different than my generation having our own phone lines in the house.

my son is getting ready to turn 12 and he wants one. I think he is way too young. Once you go any amount of time having a cell phone it will be tough to ever go without one, So that's a very long time to have a cell phone bill.
Kids that age see their friends at school, where phones are not allowed and when they get home they can call from their parents phone. I just don't agree which has made me unpopular with my son.

I got my cell phone when I was 15 years old. I don't think you are too young to one.

NO! gosh im 12 and i really want a cell phone. there are so many times when i could use one--like when my bus got in an accident.
