I can't say I've found those particular drugs yet myself, and I'm rather sure I probably don't want to...

Taking drugs and listening to techno music is just trying to fit in.
My brother and I have been listening to techno/trance for 5 or 6 years now. I can honestly say I have NEVER done any drugs, weed, X, cigarettes, you name it and I can listen to trance and enjoy it just fine.
Most people who do drugs just try to fit in and be popular because "everyone is doing it". There are plenty of people who can have a great time and enjoy music without having to take drugs. Techno/trance isn't about drugs, it's about the music!

I couldn't honestly say I enjoy listening to techno without taking drugs. And if the drug was a truth serum I still couldn't honestly say I enjoyed listening to techno!

I like some techno, including Kraftwerk and Einsturzende Nebauten. I certainly don't need drugs to like or listen to any techno music- music is about you agreeing with the message it sends out, and your enjoyment of the music.
Don't get true techno and rubbish like rave mixed up.

I love Techno, without the assistance of drugs or alcohol... I think the reason most people dont like to listen to it without is that it tends to get inside your head without you realising and then it grabs you...

Yes. Some people appreciate different types of music. Here in Detroit, where techno was created, people dance to it.

OOOOH YEAH! It's one of my guilty pleasures.
I Love listening to NIN, for example.
The beat is so primal with techno, I do not care if it is out of style.
