Well, you need to make an appointment with a highly reputable dermatologist who can assess your skin and suggest appropriate treatments for you. He/she may start by prescribing a topical cream known as Retin A, you may have heard of it. This prescription cream increases skin cell renewal and stimulates collagen to make the skin thicker and smoother.

A TCA peel is a medium depth peel, and usually costs around £1,500. This peel can help reduce acne scars and other imperfections as well as evening out skin tone and giving skin a more youthful, smooth appearance. This type of peel requires downtime of around 7-10 days.

During the procedure, the skin is cleansed and a TCA solution is applied to the skin which will burn for several minutes, at which point the skin should 'frost' and then the acid will be neutralised and vasline applied.

During the downtime period, you should experience crusting, oozing, peeling, dryness and tighteness. You may be red for several weeks to months afterwards and must protect your skin from the sun, using a high factor sunblock after this procedure.

If you have any more questions, you can contact me. Take care : )

Stop it! Stop it! I mean it - you are so young and although you probably do not realise it whatever 'transition' you are going through is entirely natural.

if you have peculiar rashes or something clearly abnormal is happening i recommend you see your Dr and talk about it.

If you go along the route you suggest, you have no idea what side effect there will be - and there are side effects to every medical / quasi medical procedure, whether published or not. Also it will cost you serious money, I am fairly sure.

Like many others will tell you - Don't do it.

I wouldn't do it personally, but if you're not happy, then for Gods sake check out for a reputable person to do it. Don't go cheap. You're young, & it would destroy you if it all went wrong. It sounds quite painful, but I really don't know. Good luck
