Within 3 months I have lost 20 lbs. Usually I would love the fact as I have been trying to lose weight for the last 10 years. But I have no appetite and I am afraid I am just going to keep losing weight. I really am not trying to lose weight. Right now I am 116 lbs which is not underweight but getting there.

About 5 months ago I ended a relationship, but I do not miss the relationship or miss my ex. I am not depressed, if anything I am happy and have increased interest in life (including another man). Could this have something to do with it? Should I be worried?

Unexplained weight loss, especially that signifigant is always cause for concern.

Many things can cause it, so you need to talk to a doctor to get to the bottom of it.

Since you mentioned you are not depressed about the breakup, and the weightloss did not start untill 2 months AFTER the breakup, I doubt the two are related, unless you are scared of not getting a guy if you are "heavier" that what you weigh now. In that case you may need a therapist.

Good luck.

It has nothing to do with the relationship. You may have something. Id go to the doc, if your appetite is bad. This is why youre losing weight. You arnt eating. I lost a bunch of weight too due to an illness that im still dealing with, and Im still losing. Ive lost 24 so far. Im under weight tho.

Good luck, I hope you get it figured out soon.

They say there is a diet called the EX DIET and it works! Maybe you don't realise it but you won't be cooking as much when you cook for one. Maybe that is all it is but if you are worried go to the doctors for a general check up and mention it to them.
