Please note: This is a genuine question...

********* No offence is meant, and is a question that should be pondered before answering!********

Hitler in my view would never have stopped with Europe, he had already taken too Africa and Asia, before the Allied Forces (Similar to todays N.A.T.O.) defeated his Nazi Machine!

My Point...

Blond hair blue eyes... and the chance that any of you would be here today to have your petty Wars and answer questions on the Net, is very slim...

So why do we not take heed of History, thank our lucky stars, lay down our weapons, and be Peaceful. Also Respectful of others and there families... after all You wouldn't like soldiers in the middle of the night smashing the door down and taking your family to there deaths. You would not like somewhere you are having a day out with your family, then targeted by a suicide bomber...

What are your views!

Peace! Live Happy!

I'm glad to see that everyone realises that Hitler wouldn't have stopped untill he was stopped..Most of us wouldn't have had a chance to be alive today if he hadn't been stopped.
Unfortunately, lessons from history seem difficult to learn, that's why history keeps repeating itself.
Hitlers will ALWAYS arise, but then again, they will also ALWAYS be stopped, because good ALWAYS overcomes evil,in the end!

Yes he might not have stopped. But he would have to because he did not have enough resources to fight on and on. By the way he attacked Russia to claim energy and mineral resources and he failed badly. Besides as history has shown the allies and the Russians did stop him! I do not mean to criticize but why do people believe he could have ruled the world. He also lost the Battle for Britain. Lets face it although technologically advanced the weapons at that time did have limitations as well. So he would need to also be able to control the masses in every country he occupied. Which seemed like possible but there was always resistance within those countries. They also attempted to assassinate him unsuccessfully but eventually someone would succeed. At the end he killed himself as a matter of fact! So I believe he would not be able to rule the world and takeover it like he did take most European countries because his army was superior. By the time he hit the harder rocks like America, England and Russia he was already a failure attempting to look strong in a sinking ship.

Hitler was his own worst enemy. He would not have wanted to stop until he controlled the world. After all he did consider Germans to be The Master Race. Having said that he was doomed to implode. He did not have the capacity or for that matter the strength of character to capture europe let alone the world.

Mankind has debated turning swords into plowshares and plowshares into swords since forever. The only way to prevent folks like Hitler or Hirohito from taking over by military force is to be so strong that they would not dare even attempt. We never learn. We are forever letting despots get stronger and stronger while we get weaker and weaker in resolve. Finally, the despot becomes convinced that free people are weak willed and will not fight. Then they have to fight or be enslaved.

Hitler was a typical bad guy, he had a very low self esteem and wanted to take over the world. It may sound stupid, cos its like that in all the TV programmes but that is the way those kinda people really are.

The reason why people dont just stop fighting is because of one simple but also complicated reason: Greed. Greediness and power is behind all evil in our world and it will never go away, no matter what we do. So all we can do is try to stop those who are under the control of their own desires.

Hilter would not have stopped but he would have been stopped eventually by those nearest to him. And the third time they would have succeeded.

To answer your question about why do we not take heed from history? Well bascially because we are human beings and as such there will always be those amonsgt us who will have no regard or respect for the the views of fellow human beings.

The is no such thing as a Status quo, with these sort of people it's all for one and the rest can rot in hell.

To answer the question .. he wouldn't have stopped. He was like Napoleon and like the Crusaders. Eventually he might have stopped as the foothills of the Himalayas became mountains. People like that don't know how to stop! Bit like politicians today, only they are more diplomatic about it and say they are democratically elected.
As long as countries like England and USA can not even to agree to disagree within their own politics there is no hope for the world. True democracy would mean that coalition governments are compulsory. At what point do you think Bush would stop if he could manage to get himself elected again and again and again?

Peace what a concept, never going to happen has long a ssomeone waants to expand their border. UN was brought out to settle issues, but it is corrupt and makes resulutions that are not respected. Hiltler never would have stopped. Allied forces for the most part was England and the US. Like they say if you can read thank a teacher if you live in a free country thank a vet

good question?...lets ponder for a moment shall we...if the tide of battle would have went in the nazi's favor at stalingrad, moscow would have easily fallen soon after.this gives germany control of vast russian materials....it also effectivly links german and japanese empires. would he have betrayed the japanese the way he did the russains?lets assume he learned from his mistakes in that betrayal and keeps his alliance with japan....well to make a long story shorter atleast it is easily forseeable a western usa controlled by the japan and a vi-che type state in the eastern us.
dont think for a minute that the us developing the bomb and trying to use it on a germany that controlled russian and britian along with the africas would have stopped the german war machine.they already had aircraft cappable of knocking out high flying us bombers.germany also had a stealth aircraft very similar to todays staelth fighter.dont believ me? go to the smithsonian...just be thankfull that the war didnt go into 1946...

He would not have stopped his supposed progressive evolution scheme. It would have been ongoing even after his death. Can you imagine a Nazi world? Ack. I'd probably be exterminated in his proto-survival of the fittest plan.

The guy first went after Jewish and African races. He later targetted Christians. He thought the darker skinned people were closer to apes. He also would have exterminated orientals eventually. He was just using Japan and would have conquered them later.

Oddly enough, Hitler's mom and dad were second cousins.
Some speculate that Hitler was 1/4 Jew.

With the President of Iran sounding like a modern day Hitler, with apacolyptic statements about Israel, and actiing more like a megolamaniac, i would say we have to remember history and stop the evil before he got out the nucear gates. Once Iran becomes nuclear, that would be on par with the Bolshevic Revolution or rise of Hitler in Germany.
