In one part of the movie Dale, Kelly, Kerry, and Dale Jr. are at an empty track running laps in a car. Dale is wearing a black cap with the Goodwrench logo at an angle instead of being flat and in the middle. Does the logo being off center have any significance?

I take it that you're talking about Barry's movie.... "The Dale Earnhardt Story"... yes?

Anyway, I didn't think it had any special significance to Barry.
It might have to Dale himself and hise family probably told the writers that it did so that's probably why Barry either wore it that way or it was probably Dale's and Barry wanted to wear it to bring realism to the movie and his family.

Then again, it was probably a "knock-off" hat that Barry had and he wanted to wear it himself or.... maybe back then they just wore them like that.

Who on here could actually really know for sure?

The movie is entitled "3" and is a really great movie concerning Dale Earnhardt and his family along with his racing carerr. I think it was pretty good movie, and I don't know if you know or not but in February they are releasing another Dale Earnhardt Sr. movie that is suppossed to be really good because the family took part in the making of the movie and gave real insider information and pictures and their are scenes with Childress who Sr. drove for, and all his competitors, and everything I believe, and probably Rick Hendrick who was a really close friend. The movie is entitled "Dale" so I hope this is going to be another great NASCAR movie.

The licensing company for the hat (Goodwrench logo centered) did not sign an agreement. The GM Goodwrench company OK'd the use but the manufacturer of the had did not.

I think it was a trademark thing. That movie was 'unauthorized' by the Earnhardt family and RCR. Notice the '3' that was on the cover of the DVD wasn't the normal '3' that was on the side of the car? That '3' is trademarked believe it or not and couldn't be used.
