I am in college, and I am trying to cut off some expenses. I have a contract that is going to expire in 5 days. Should I stay with it? Or, should I change to pre-paid? Most of my family has Cingular, so I do not want to switch companies.

The thing you have to remember about prepaid is it doesn't work in the same places that contract phones do. And you really won't save any money as Cingular's prepaid for minimal usage will still cost you the same as a minimal contract. The only people who should be on prepaid are kids and people who don't have credit for a contract.

Ok,I Wouldent Reccomend Prepaid.Firstly,If Your A Real Nut(Like Me)For Text Messaging,Then Your Gana Run Out Of Minutes.-And Fast!So I Would Probally Think Just Renew Your Contract,Or Switch To Tmobile.Even Though,Your Whole Family Has Cingular,Doesent Mean,You Cant Switch To A Diffrent Company To Fit Your Budget.

Seriously When I Turn 18(Im 17 Now)I Will Be Switching To Tmobile,Because I Have Alltel,And Most Of My Family Has Alltel,And I Really Dont Like Alltel One Because There Wayy To Expensive. But Like I Said,Switch If You Have To Because Ive Been With Cingular,And There Expensive Too.But Tmobile,Is Cheap If Your Looking To Bring Your Price Down,Then Tmobile Is Your Best Bet.

you're appropriate, they are all rip-offs. yet I have been given a pass-telephone years in the past, whilst it worked out as a first rate deal for me. i'm getting 35 cent daylight hours minutes (yet i'm in school so i do no longer use those a lot) then 10 cent night (7 pm) and weekend. My mom's telephone is 25 cents a minute each and all of the time. I had 5 cent texts till they desperate to triple that to fifteen cents each and each a month in the past or so. the main suitable telephone plan i've got chanced on is the community calls in basic terms domicile telephone. yet that doesn't artwork everywhere. Or now they have VOIP telephones that look like cellular telephones and are transportable, so while you're generally around on the spot hotspots, you ought to use a form of, and it will link with your place VOIP provider, which may be a lot extra low-fee than a mobile telephone plan.

the cingular prepaid has free mobile to mobile, no roaming, and free long distance, so if you only call cingular customers, then your monthly cost would be at most $31, they charge you $1.00 per day that you use the phone, and if you call cingular, like I said, it is free, otherwise $0.10 per minute.
