how can a formula company not know there vitamins does not have enough vitamin C in it. Aren't they supposed to check that? It could cause : If infants drink formula without enough vitamin C for two to four weeks, they could start exhibiting symptoms of vitamin C deficiency, which include irritability with generalized tenderness

It was an isolated incident. It was not actually a lack of vitamins in the formula, it was a layer missing from the cans that affected the Vitamin C, and they did catch it, and a can of formula should not last for 4 weeks anyway unless the baby is close to a year old and eating other foods. The baby should also be on liquid vitamins anyway. Other women are using this as just one more reason to bash women that choose to formula feed!

Ohhhh Brenda why don't you stick a sock a in it... If it was crap as you put it, it wouldn't be sold all over the world.... don't tell me you never put your child in a swing or in a carseat or in a play pen or a freaken crib for that matter. Do you know how many of those have been recalled, it doesn't mean that your child went in it, fell and died.... Or how many of the toys your kid played with were hazardess...you breastfeed, your happy that you breastfeed, good for you.... 2 points... now shut the hell up!

I just saw a clip about that on the news. Its more common and more of a risk in infants who have just formula for nutriants, older infants who are taking other forms of food are less likely to suffer.

Iam definitly breastfeeding until atleast 6 months. Its just easier in my head. But people like my mom couldnt breast feed, so i can understand just how serious an issue like this is.

Its best to do as much research into your formula first. And check with doctors.

God that sucks.

It is not an isolated incident. There have been so many formula recalls in the past few years that I can't believe people still feed this crap to their poor babies. I'm so glad I breastfeed and don't have to risk my baby's life in any way.
