I clean it every time I take a load out....Once you have a little fire, you start to remember to do that....lol!

I clean it out every time. But listen...I also learned that stuff from your dryer sheets sticks to the lint trap. You can't see it, but it's there. Run tap water over your lint trap and see how much goes through. Clean the trap by using a brush of some sort and then run it under the tap again. I was surprised by the difference. I was also told that it is a fire hazard.

My dryer is broke so I use the laundromat ones. I hardly remembered to clean the lint trap though lol.

not properly cleaning out the lint trap would make the dryer work harder, thus using too much gas..and will break down faster..one time, i made a medium pillow out of leftover lint! now thats called recycling eh?

I have the same problem! Usually when the clothes don't get dry and I have to run it again, then I think of it. It's dumb too, cuz how hard is it to clean out! Not very! I forget all the time though!

I never let it go more than two cycles without cleaning it out. By then, there's enough lint that you can scoop it out.

I have a friend who lets hers go until I swear you could make a felt tablecloth out of it.

Its best to clean it out after every time you use it.

The more that builds up in there the higher risk you have to starting a fire.

Lint burns very easily and could spark a fire in no time.
