No one will ever stop doing that. The world whirls around on the principle that one is better than the other. Believe me, those that are, today, being stereotyped as being loud by the predominant race, then in turn, those being stereotyped do it on weaker ones. Tell me of a good example thru history where there has been equality and please don't bring up Greece, because they always stereotyped outsiders.
Only a utopian world will work in perfect harmony. That is beyond reality.

Stereotypes do not exist in a vacuum. There is often more than a little truth behind them. It would be damn foolish to set aside common sense and be victimized simply because you chose to ignore a common sense stereotype out of some misplaced feeling of unfairness.
Okay, here's an example. You have just rented a car at Miami International Airport, and you want to drive to Key West. You are lost, in a run down neighborhood, and you need to ask for directions. A group of black men with crazy black hair, over sized shorts drooping down to their knees and gold teeth are standing on the corner. Do you ask for directions?
You ignore the stereotypes, and you get robbed and killed. It happens all the time. You use a little COMMON SENSE (stereotyping), and you live.
It sure would be nice to live in a world where everyone could be trusted, but we don't. Get used to it, or suffer the consequences. No amount of liberal idiotbabble can change it.

Bingo - we are all spiritual beings having a human experience. Does not matter what colour you are, the true essence of a human being lies deep in the soul, the ego is insidious. If all human beings came together in what I would call "Global Earth Day" just think what we could learn from one another. The light is the human soul obscured by the ego mind. It frustrates me because when you come to a place of understanding and awareness you learn to look beyond the masks of the ego. You see what is real. This is such an amazing experience. It is like a veil has been lifted and you see what is real and what is not real. I know this sounds deep, but really once you get it, it really is not.

Yes. stereotyping is awful! There was an episode of 20/20 about this last night. Stereotyping can cause people to fail by simply believing in a certain stereotype. Children were told that brown eyed kids were smarter and better and then the children were tested. Children who didn't have brown eyes scored lower. The next day the roles were reversed. Brown eyed children did worse.

sterotypes will always exist. There are tons of sterotepes that we think nothing of. Such as 'women drivers'
or "MEN are sooooo_________"
or if I see a car on the road do something brilliant like pull out in front of someone I say 'it must be a tourist'
or the one about blondes being dumb
or redheads being tempermental.
Sterotypes unfortunatley will always be a part of our lives

stereotypes don't pop up out of the blue.
there is almost always a grain of truth in stereotypes. and generalizing is what we humans do best.
do you really thin that posting one question on yahoo! answers is going to change the world?
