A friend of mine gets such bad pain in his hips that he has actually passed out from pain...anyone have any idea's?

thanx for the answers some gave ..more info -he was taken to hospital this last time they did blood tests NO xray and he was sent home...he does peridocially get this pain never as bad that.. he passed out was nausious as well...he sometimes gets sores on his legs as well...could be bad circulation??He is not over weight and does excericise reg...I told him to get himself to an orthopedic doc? We keeping him in bed for a few days but i just have no idea??

It could be arthritis, it can be very painful. Inflammation of the joints

Could be that you have too much weight on the hips, causing inward pressure on your brains. Try dumping,... if that does not prove to be effective then try dumping some of the birds off your hips. In many cases it is very effective in remedying this problem to seek a conventional medical solution.. just tell the cow to get off your back.

possibly early onset arthritis

it could also be pain coming from a back problem or a tear to the numerous muscles and ligametns int he pelvis

best advice is to seek medical attention and get an x ray to diagnose

Could be arthritis, But If things R this bad, i and every1 else will recommed he spare 30mins of the day to visit the Dr.

Wow, I dunno..maybe arthritis? If he's sleeping on a lousy bed, then his hips might hurt, but not "Passing out" kind of pain. He may have a bone disease. He should see a doctor about it.
