How do I make a movie on the computer?

do i get footage from other internet sites? or do i have to install something? please help

on the computer? not a slide show, but like a movie with music and stuff

Be more specific. Do you mean a quicktime movie? Or one you can make with Movie Maker. You'll need a digital camera and a capture card to store the clips on your hard drive.

What kind of movie are you talking about? Home video? Animation?
